St. Lucia, what a beautiful island! Recently, St. Lucia has legalized gambling. This will just add to the fun already existing on the island. One side is great for surfing and the other perfect for snorkeling. For those who enjoy the sun, either side is fine.

Duncan Hines Scenic Byway

My newest article is titled How to Tour the Duncan Hines Scenic Byway.

While we were in Bowling Green, we stopped by the Hardy and Son Funeral Home. A gentleman there by the name of Bill Hardy came out as we were taking pictures of the Duncan Hines Historical Marker. He ask us if we would like to come in and take a behind the scenes tour of the funeral home.

Mr. Hardy is the 3rd generation owner of the funeral home. It was originally purchased by his grandfather, just after Duncan Hines passed away. What is now the Hardy and Son Funeral Home, was once the home and office of Duncan Hines himself!

Bowling Green, KY

Recently, I was able to travel to the city of Bowling Green, Kentucky. While I was there, I stayed with some friends who lived in Glasgow. Glasgow is in between Bowling Green and Cave City. It is expected that there home sits atop part of the Mammoth Cave system, as do most houses in the area.

Our goal for the trip was to visit the Duncan Hines Scenic Byway. So, we started off our day by driving to the Hardy and Sons Funeral Home, formerly home/office of Duncan Hines.

There are a number of things to see and do in Bowling Green, including the location of the plant that makes every Chevrolet Corvette. Plus, a number of things to do and see for free.

For those of you who have never been to Mobile, AL, you are missing out on the city where the first Mardi Gras, documented in America, ever took place!

This excellent city has an abundance of energy flowing as you enjoy the beauty and historic sites.

Gulf Shores, Alabama

Gulf Shores, Alabama is a great city for family fun or a romantic getaway. Based on the Gulf Coast between Mississippi and Florida, this area is full of wildlife refuge and a lot of history.

Take a walk on one of the many trails of this southern area during your visit to the area. Or play golf on one of the world famous championship golf courses located in the area.

Gulfport, Mississippi

For those who are thinking of traveling to Gulfport, Mississippi, there are number of things to see and do for free. The city has a few museums which offer free admission.
