Daydreaming about Vegas

Although I have been to Las Vegas three different times in my life, it seems that I am still daydreaming about going there constantly.

Even the smallest of airports usually have a direct flight to Vegas. And typically the flight can be very reasonable. It is one of the least expensive flights available on most every airline, even from other countries.

There are a number of things to see and do for free. And for anyone who is able to resist temptation, just walking around the specialty shops in the city can be exciting.

Don't forget to get buy a ticket on the Deuce to save on transportation. Check out this article for more ways to save in Las Vegas.

St. Louis, Missouri

It has been a while since my trip to St. Louis, MO, but I really enjoyed my vacation there. There is so much to see and do. Plus, the city has a lot of free attractions.

There is a free train museum in the mall. The Lewis and Clark site is an excellent site to see for free. The St. Louis Zoo has free admission, but they do charge you for parking, which isn't that big of a deal if you have a van full of people.

There are a number of historic sites in St. Louis. The Ulysses S. Grant Historic Site, the Jefferson Barracks and more. And the great thing, is they are all free to see.

If you are planning on a visit to St. Louis, you could have a very inexpensive vacation there. All you would have to pay for is your hotel and your food and drinks.

I have written an article on How to Travel to St. Louis on a Budget. I hope you will take the opportunity to view it.

May all of your travels be...Lots of fun and mostly free!

Lexington, Ky

Being raised in Eastern Kentucky, Lexington was the nearest large city. We seldom went there, as a matter of fact, I don't really remember ever going there as a kid with our family.

As I got older, I would drive through Lexington on a regular basis to go back "down home". As the years went by, I did get to visit Lexington a couple of times, but only to go to a couple of games and a concert.

This is why I was so surprised when I read about all Lexington has to offer.

I hope if you are ever passing through, that you will take the time to see some of the great sites of Lexington, Ky. And if you are fortunate enough to take a vacation there, I am sure you are going to enjoy this special city!

Lexington, Kentucky

I was simply amazed at all of the free things there are to see and do in Lexington, Ky. I have been through that city so many times, and visited there a few. But haven't done anything on this list.

To add a few things, if you go in April or October, you can see the horses training early in the morning at Keeneland. And they have a few great festivals that you could plan your trip around.

Gettysburg, PA

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania...the place where more men died in the Civil War than any other. The largest and bloodiest battle of North America, ever. The place where Abraham Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg Address. And also the site where the only civilian was killed as a victim of the Civil War.

This is a city that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. And for those who don't live too far away, or who might have relatives nearby, it can be one of the least expensive vacations that you will ever take.

So, now, visit How To Travel To Gettysburg, PA on a Budget!

Visit Pittsburgh

I had no idea that Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania had so much to offer. I recently read that it has been voted one of the most livable cities twice. The only U.S. city to earn this recognition, and most recently in 2007.

Not only a great place to live, but Pittsburgh seems to be a very inexpensive place to travel.

If you get a chance check it out! I'm definitely putting it on my list of places to see and visit!
