Las Vegas - 10 Free Attractions

You don't need to have a lot of money to have a good time in Las Vegas.

I usually enjoy the free to see attractions more than anything else when I go on a vacation, so I decided to make a list.

Here is my list of top ten things to see for free in Las Vegas...

1) Auto Collection at the Imperial Palace - If you check you will see this has a cover charge or entrance fee of $6.95, so you are asking how is this free? Here is the way you can get in to this attraction for free. Go to the Player's Club in the main casino and apply for a player's card. Not only will they give you 2 coupons good for free entrance to the auto collection, but they will also give you a whole Fun Book with an $850 value. It is full of buy one get one free offers for drinks and dinners. Also discounts on different shows like $10 off Legends in Concert. Maybe I list this 250 car show as 1st because I am such an auto buff, but it is truly a great collection of cars of which some cannot be seen anywhere else in the world.

2) Fountains of Bellagio - This is a great display with a combination of music, water and lights. The show can be seen after 3 pm every half hour until 8 pm. Then there is a free show every 15 minutes until midnight. A great romantic sight for any couple on vacation in Las Vegas or a great way to relax for anyone.

3) Sirens of Treasure Island - This great performance of pirates and musicians is one of the only free theatrical shows of it's type you will see for free anywhere. Starting with a group of pirates, staged in the 17th century and ending with a great party of the 21st century. The show is performed nightly at 5:30, 7:00, 8:30 and 10:00 pm in Siren's Cove at the front entrance of the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.

4) Fremont Street Experience - The largest LED display system with 12.5 million lights and a 550,000 watt sound system in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. This is where it all began and there are 4 or 5 different shows nightly on the hour.

5) Circus Acts of Circus Circus - This is the world's largest permanent circus so be sure to make your way down to the north end of the strip to see them perform. Exactly what you'd expect to see at any other circus across the United States with performances scheduled daily from 11 am until midnight.

6) Lion Habitat at MGM - The lion has been the emblem of MGM Studios as long as one can remember so what else could be their theme attraction at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. The lions actually have their own ranch 12 miles from the casino, but from 11 am to 10 pm daily you can see them in the educational showcase presented by MGM Grand.

7) The Volcano at the Mirage - A great volcano situated on 3 acres of water-filled land. The show is daily on the hour with thunderous eruptions and towering fire spray up to 100 feet above the waters.

8) Flamingo Wildlife Habitat - Where else but the Flamingo Hotel and Casino would you find such a habitat. Not only are there flamingos in this habitat, but you will also find penguins, swans, ducks, koi and turtles. Enjoy the beautiful foliage and waterfalls throughout the habitat while you relax or even feed the animals. They can also be seen from the dining area of the Paradise Garden Buffet.

9) Dealertainers at the Imperial Palace - Ricky Martin, Cher, Dolly Parton, and Michael Jackson are just a few of the impersonations performed by the dealers in the Dealertainers Pit area at the Imperial Palace. During the night your dealer may even take a break to hop on stage to do a performance.

10) CBS Research Center - Stop by the CBS Research Center and you may even receive the opportunity to be a part of one of their live panels. Watch a show that matches your interest and complete a quick survey and you'll even receive a $10 gift certificate to CBS Television City.

There are many more fun free things to do in Las Vegas, so why wait, take the trip!
